Hai, the very first topic which makes me think about from the past two days is one of the greatest threats to the larger part of this country. As I personally hope that young generations are very much valuable to our country. What if these generations are exposed to problems? What they can contribute one’s own country. Along with other problems one of the dangerous problems in now days is “RAGGING”.
What is the actual problem regarding ragging? Is it always making the problems to all of the students? If so why is it in our education system??
As from my readings I came to know that the ragging is from 7th or 8th century!! I feel surprise as I read it is used in sports at that time to make the new players to work with senior players in the team (teamwork).From that it enters into police department to make the newly joined police feel free to work with their senior officers. As well it has its presence in Army department and now days also it is strongly practiced in army department even it is not in other departments.
But from those departments how it reached the education system? What is its purpose in our great education system? By having no similarities between the departments in which it is presented in past and to its final destination. Reasons unknown, anyway it reached the education system as with the intent to make the junior students to feel free with their senior students. For that seniors make the interaction session with juniors and it is very much helpful in later days to help them in their studies and it is so welcoming and makes newcomers familiar with the new college atmosphere.
But unfortunately what is happening in now days is the interaction session between seniors and juniors will become as a war between two opposite groups, as seniors are already well dominated in the college. They are doing all undoing which involve severe harassment of junior students by psychologically as well physically sometimes.
This is the case where ragging is very much objected by all. Why this is happening? This is only because of some student’s psychological imbalance, sadistic nature and in most of the cases cast and religion. I don’t know why even students are very much arrogant by their cast and religion what is there in their cast\religion? Who said that other’s cast/religion is not good?? If all the students are proper thinkers there is no problem regarding any reason!
It is not fair harassing the newly joined students and it leads them to some abnormal conditions like too much hate towards the students of the particular cast and in some cases their life may spoil. To avoid all these problematic conditions institutions has to take the immediate action towards ragging and has give the assistance to junior students and government also have to follow the rules and regulations in ragging. For that there is a special force called “Anti Ragging Force”. With all of these preconditions we can hope for a “rag free education system”.
